Blackpool was... How can I describe? Interesting.

I had never heard of Blackpool initially, and I went there completely accidentally, but ough to say that the city was a nice surprise.

Located in the North West region of England, 4 hours from London, Blackpool is a small city on the coast of the Irish Sea. There's not much to talk about the city, except that it's famous for its amusement parks and its tower. Initially, I decided to spend 1 month in Blackpool as part of my Eurotrip (it was the second place I was visiting, after Porto). I looked for a nice accommodation on Airbnb and some other websites for digital nomads, and I found this coliving home. I could stay there, visit Manchester and Liverpool (which were pretty close), and maybe even London, right? Right???

I forgot to check something important: the costs of visiting those places from Blackpool, which were pretty high. Lesson learned ✅.

In the end, I didn't visit Manchester, Liverpool, or London, but I could have some Fish & Chips and beer, and I also had some cool experiences like visiting Preston Station when it was completly empty in the evening of a Sunday (when the rails were under maintenance) and staying on a coliving with other people from different countries—we even had a fun night once where each person brough an ingredient and one of the guests, who as a chef, would use to cook dinner for us.

By the way, staying in a coliving could be a completely different post someday. Although it was nice, I found out it was not my type of stay.

Anyway, although it was not well planned, the trip still had great moments, teaching me that even when you don't plan well your trips, you can still live precious moments when you are open to that.
