Ireland, our precious Ireland

Discover the magic of Ireland through my personal journey—vivid cities like Dublin and Cork, breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and the unforgettable memories that made me fall in love with the Emerald Isle.

Ah, my precious Ireland! 💚

That's a country that holds a place of honor in my memories and heart, not only because it was the first country I visited, but also because it was there that I met the woman who would become my wife.

Ireland as a whole has a charm: the gracious chaos of the big cities, such as Dublin and Cork, the lush greenery of the countryside (which is why it's called the Emerald Isle), the cliffs, and the friendly people, proud of their roots and their history. And, by the way, what an incredible history: Going from the Gaels people who lived there much before the arrival of the English people, Viking settlements, and civil war. Every corner you look at and every building you visit has history, and someone is ready to tell you. Even the Gaelic, the original language of Ireland, you can still find people who speak it, it's still taught in the schools, and if you befriend an Irish person, you could have someone teaching you some words or some names (which, by the way, are very difficult).

Though not so busy and chaotic as Dublin, Cork has a vividly lifestyle, while also keeping the friendly vibe of the countryside. It's the second-largest city of Ireland, but from Cork you can quickly visit any other county (it's only 3 hours from Dublin). Even though I've spent 7 months there on an exchange program, I came back with a feeling that I didn't enjoy it enough, so that's still on my top list to visit again soon (and maybe explore even more).
